When you use reChrome’s analysis features, the extension temporarily accesses:

– Lorem Ipsum text is generated locally using built-in algorithms

– Generated text is temporarily copied to your clipboard when requested

– No record of generated content is maintained

## Permissions Explained

### activeTab

**Purpose:** Analyze the currently active webpage for CSS, colors, fonts, and SEO data

**Scope:** Only the tab you’re currently viewing when using extension features

**Data Access:** Temporary analysis of page structure and styling

### storage

**Purpose:** Save your extension preferences locally

**Data Stored:** Word count settings, CSS viewer state, onboarding status, optional license key

**Location:** Chrome’s secure local storage (never transmitted externally)

### contextMenus

**Purpose:** Provide right-click menu options for quick text generation and CSS inspection

**Data Access:** No additional data beyond activeTab scope

### clipboardWrite

**Purpose:** Copy generated Lorem Ipsum text, color values, and CSS properties to clipboard

**Data Access:** Only content you explicitly choose to copy

### scripting

**Purpose:** Inject analysis scripts into webpages for CSS inspection and data extraction

**Data Access:** Page structure and styling information for real-time analysis

### Host Permissions (<all_urls>)

**Purpose:** Allow extension functionality on all websites

**Limitation:** Only activates when you explicitly use extension features

**Exclusions:** Does not work on browser internal pages (chrome://, edge://, about:)

– No external servers process your data
